TALU began, quite simply, with a first date.

Over a glass of whiskey, shared curiosity became something more. Conversation flowed, time slowed, and the world outside softened. That night, we put into words something we'd both felt before — whiskey has a way of bringing people closer. It creates space to connect, to reflect, and to truly live in the moment.

Some of our most treasured memories — long evenings, quiet celebrations, conversations that mattered — always involved whiskey. It was there with our fathers, marking moments that felt small at the time but grew more meaningful with age. TALU is, in many ways, a continuation of those moments.

Made for everyone

From the beginning, we wanted TALU to reflect ourselves — and the people around us. The women in our lives, our sisters, our friends — they've always been part of those whiskey moments but too often left out of the conversation.

TALU is for them as much as it is for anyone.

We set out to create a whiskey that was approachable, inviting, and made for sharing — a new, delicious experience that is uniquely ours. And now, yours.

Why we spell it with an E

Not out of disregard for tradition — out of respect for it. We have deep admiration for Scotch and the many styles of whisky that shaped this category. But heritage is earned, not borrowed. As a modern English whiskey, we chose to celebrate our difference rather than adopt an identity that isn't ours.

By embracing maize alongside rye and barley, we built a sweeter, softer foundation — layered with toasted, vanilla-like notes — inspired by American, Irish and rye traditions. All of which proudly use the "e." Not imitation. Influence.
